Step 1: Use a soft, flexible measuring tape (like one used for tailoring) to measure the widest part of each nail bed, typically across the center of the nail.
Step 2: Write down the width of each of your 10 nails in millimeters. If you're measuring in centimeters, multiply by 10 to convert the value into millimeters for accuracy.
Step 3: When placing your order, enter all 10 nail widths (in millimeters) in the "Personalization" box or email them to Emily@nailgaze.com along with your order number.
👉 Please avoid decimals. If your measurement is 15.5mm, round it up to 16mm for the best fit.
🧷 Method 2: No Soft Ruler? No Worries!
If you don’t have a flexible measuring tape, you can still measure your nails accurately using clear tape and a standard hard ruler. Just follow these steps:
Step 1: Place a strip of transparent tape over your nail, making sure it's smooth and wrinkle-free. Press the tape down along the nail’s side walls to capture the full width.
Step 2: Using a pen or fine-tip marker, make two small marks where the tape meets the widest points of your nail—typically where it curves into the sidewalls.
Step 3: Remove the tape carefully and stick it onto a flat surface (like paper). Measure the distance between the two marks using a regular ruler, in millimeters.
Step 4: Do this for all 10 nails, and write down each measurement. These details are essential for creating a custom-fit set.

📸 Method 3: The Paper Bill Photo Trick (No Measuring Tools Needed!)
No ruler? No tape? No problem! You can get your exact nail sizes using any standard paper bill and your phone. Here's how:
Step 1: Set It Up
Place your hand flat on a surface, palm down, with all fingers clearly visible. Lay any standard paper bill (any U.S. dollar bill or international banknote like CAD, EUR, GBP, etc.) next to your hand as a size reference.
Step 2: Snap a Clear Photo
Take a top-down photo (directly from above) of your fingers and the bill. Make sure all four corners of the bill are fully visible in the frame so we can scale it accurately.
Step 3: Capture Your Thumb
Lay your thumb flat next to the bill and take a separate top-down photo.
Step 4: Repeat for Your Other Hand
Take the same top-down photos for your opposite hand—hands are rarely identical in size!
Step 5: Send Your Photos
Email your photos to Emily@nailgaze.com with your Order Number, or mention in the "Notes" section at checkout that you are emailing your sizing photos.
